We have always had Sony TV's, so when it came time for us to upgrade to a SMART TV, we didn't even bother to shop the stores to view the new TV's. We didn't want or need 3D, so we went with a SMART Sony 46" EX645. Best price available was from Tiger Direct, no tax & free shipping. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. It was now time to join the 21st century. We looked in Best Buy and P.C. Richard (a NY Electronics store), and picked out two. One from LG and the other from Samsung. Checked the reviews on the internet and came up with the Samsung UN46ES6100 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz Slim LED HDTV. Tiger Direct did not carry this model right now so they sent us a pre-paid return authorization label, and promised a full refund. We purchased the Samsung from P.C. Richard on sale for $898.00. All I can say is WOW what a difference. The wireless SMART features were ez to set up, and any picture adjustments to improve clarity for different venues were ez too. Thanks to the prior "reviewers" here at Amazon we finally got the right TV. For the money and features I wanted, you cannot beat the 6100. I guess for us we couldn't see the light without experiencing the darkness. With the way Sony is going, they may be done sooner than later.
